Recommendation
“Morita therapy is one of the few psychotherapies that originated in Japan and is known internationally.
Although I'm not a Morita therapist, I believe that as long I'm Japanese, no matter what school of thought I belong to, I can learn something from the thought and techniques of Morita therapy.
Japanese people live in such a way that religion is integrated into daily life, and this is strongly felt in this video.
Although "Buddhism" is not mentioned, the deep everydayness of Morita therapy is felt in the daily work of the therapy.
It is very difficult to explain or convey this through language, but this video seemed to be of great help in making this possible.
It will be a good teaching material for people who want to study psychotherapy at graduate school or elsewhere.”

Overview
A documentary about Inpatient Morita Therapy. Unparalleled record of Morita Therapy.
Morita therapy represents traditional Japanese psychotherapy for anxiety disorder, and it does not apply any kind of medication--instead it puts patients in homelike therapeutic atmosphere and gives guidance to patients as to their daily lives.
Unlike Western therapies, Morita therapy does not try to extract symptom from the patient but encourage patient to live with it.
Patients going through Morita therapy will be aware that the symptom is not really a problem they need to eliminate.
